I wish I were as eloquent as Mark Twain!! When I think about the motivation behind The Life Bus, the spirit that we are trying to capture with our adventures and our writings, and the philosophy we try to live by every day, I wish I could have stated it as well as Mark Twain did. HIs words capture the spirit of The Life Bus so wholly there is really nothing more that needs to be said.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain
Aye, aye captain! 🙂
Too funny!! I have finally reached captain status …. yeah!! Glad you are sailing with us 🙂
😆
One of my favorite quotes and one that also drives me around for more adventures! Like-minded we are in many ways. Sometimes, great authors found the right words; why would we need to find others?
Cheers to all adventurers, then! May you all achieve your life adventure!
Now you have gone and said things really well 🙂 Definitely cheers to all adventurers.
I LOVE LOVE this quote sister! this is on my FB page as my ‘quote’ – LOL. We ARE twins 😉
That’s why we’re doing the Bus together … we are kindred spirits!! Thanks for sharing the passion for life and adventure with me!! Our Bus adventure is already so much fun and totally heading into the unknown 🙂
Do I see hot captain Dan on that plane?? whoop!
What a beautiful quote and the photo is fabulous too!
I’ve tried to reply 4 times now and have had computer glitches each time so I hope you don’t have 4 responses!! THANKS for the comment. I do love this quote. The photo was taken on our Bus trip to Alaska. Pam wrote about it in case you would like to read more. This photo was taken while our pilot was getting ready to leave us for 3 days and nights all alone on this lake. Exciting and yet angst-inducing knowing you’re totally cut off from civilization with no way to contact anyone if you needed to. He said he would be back at 11 am on the 4th day and there he was … right on time … despite crappy flying weather. Oh, and by the way, he was a rather cute pilot. Have a great day and thanks as always for being part of our experience. Cheers!!
No, just the one comment! What an amazing experience. I’m putting it on my “to do” list. Cute pilot – bonus!
you would totally love it Sue Ann!!
